Neuranix Research and Development

A cutting-edge technology that allows

to perform the acoustic impedance test

without pressure variations in

the external ear canal.

how-it-works

The evaluation of the tympanic membrane and the middle ear is achieved through the analysis of different acoustic parameters measured over a wide range of frequencies.

The operating principle is based on new generation sensors capable of measuring the resonance frequency of the ear canal and calculating other significant parameters over a frequency range of 100 to 3000 Hz.

The method is completely non-invasive and painless, as the probe rests on the external auditory meatus without the need for a hermetic seal to pressurize the duct.

This approach is particularly suitable in pediatric and pathological patients particularly suffering from problems with the tympanic membrane.

technology

The unique and patented technology used to design Neuranix products is based on the measurement of acoustic admittance and its components over a wide range of frequencies.

A probe positioned through a guided procedure inside the external acoustic meatus emits and records a series of sound pulses through the tympanic membrane along the entire spectrum of the audible.

Proprietary software then allows data analysis and functional characterization of the eardrum and middle ear. The examination, unique in its kind, is completely painless and returns in a few seconds essential information to support the diagnosis and monitor the therapy of ear diseases.
